Seasonal Decor Represents Abundance and Gratitude

Lexi’s Thanksgiving Gratitude List

Hey Mamas!

Hey Lexi! here,

Getting Ready for Gratitude

We made it through Halloween and are starting the countdown to Christmas! Before we break out our Christmas lights and decorations, let’s take time to really reflect and celebrate the rest of the fall season, and Thanksgiving!!! This is one of my favorite holidays as it was the biggest holiday celebrated in my home as a child growing up (My family didn’t celebrate Christmas until I was about 7 or 8). I love fall, the weather changing, the leaves turning their elegant oranges, reds, yellows and fading to soft earthy browns. The smell of Turkey cooking, and knowing I’m surrounded by my family and friends. This year has been a little challenging, and I needed a fresh reminder of all the things I have to be grateful for. My home, my family, and this AWESOME Country we live in to name a few!

As I sit here writing this post my husband is having an MRI done on his knee, which he broke at work about a week ago. These past few weeks have been wearing on me, mentally, physically, spiritually and emotionally. I am not who I want to be. Oprah said, “Be thankful for what you have, you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never have enough.” I know that gratitude is the quickest way to get myself connected with God and out of my own head. So when I am not myself this is where I go to find me again.  I hope that it brings some serenity and gratitude to you and blesses you this Holiday Season.

THANKSGIVING

When I think about the month of November, I think of Thanksgiving, and what that word means…not just for the Holiday, but what does it mean to give thanks? Thanksgiving is an expression of gratitude, especially to God according to the Dictionary. Keeping this in mind, in the middle of the chaos, the noise, and the stress of this season I am choosing to take a minute each day and give my gratitude to God. Below is my Gratitude List, I hope it encourages you to find time in your busy life and in this season of Thanksgiving to express your gratitude! As promised, here is my updated list! 😊
